This makes porcelain denser, harder, and more water-resistant, making it ideal for high-traffic floors and wet areas. Ceramic tiles are generally softer and easier to cut, making them a fantastic, stylish choice for walls and kitchen backsplashes.
Yes, in most cases. While glazed porcelain and ceramic tiles themselves do not require sealing, the cement-based grout between them is porous. We highly recommend applying a premium grout sealer after installation to protect against moisture, mold, and stains, keeping your surfaces looking fresh and new.
For shower floors, safety and slip resistance are the top priorities. We typically recommend smaller tiles, such as mosaics, because the frequent grout lines provide natural traction for your feet. Alternatively, textured or matte-finish porcelain tiles are also excellent, slip-resistant choices for wet environments.
